La faune du Congo est riche en animaux de diverses races.Parfois, plusieurs espèces se rencontrent dans un même endroit. Mais le problème majeure de la forêt congolaise est le braconnage, qui existe depuis longtemps.





Nous pouvons y voir des gorilles, des chimpanzés et le bonobos, de la famille des singes. Vous pourrez aussi observer dans la famille des sangliers, le phacochère,le potamochère ou l' hylochère. De plus des chats sauvage ainsi que plusieur ruminants comme le rhinocéros qui paissent dans la savane. Vous pouvez y Voir de magnifique oiseaux et des serpents des bois.

Au Congo nous pouvons retrouver la savane ainsi que des forêts claires qui donnent refuge à plusieur grands herbivores, comme par exemple le buffle noir, la girafe mais il ne faut pas oublier qu'il y a de féroces carnassié comme le lion, le léopard, etc. Vous pourrez retrouver ces animaux au Parc national des Virrungas, mais qui recèle plus présicément les célèbres gorilles de volcan.
